Search bar in Bookmarks with AiOS? |

Hi there
I am not sure if I it was my imagination, but I'd swear that my AiOS (I'm using the latest version) used to have a search bar in the Bookmarks. I know that because many of my bookmarks use an addon that allows me to tag them, but that addon does not include such a bar.
So, was it my imagination? Did that bar disappear? In any case, will AiOS have a search bar for Bookmarks in the future?

Hello johnspac,
of course there is a search bar in the bookmarks panel, like you can see on the screenshot. Btw, this search bar isn't added by AiOS, it's there even without AiOS, because it's a feature of Firefox itself.

But can I add the search box (not bar; typo) near the Tools button? I know I can right-click on the sidebar and open the Customize Toolbar window, but the search box won't let itself be dropped near the button.

Excuse me, but I don't know what you want to do. The search box should be already positioned near the tools button...
However, the search box of the bookmarks panel can't be placed elsewhere in the browser.

It isn't. That's why I had doubts. Somehow it disappeared and I don't know where did it go:
That's why I tried to drag and drop a new search box.

That's strange. Normally the searchbar can't be positioned elsewhere, because this toolbar isn't customizable. Which theme do you use? Please try it with the default one. Or do you install any other extension before the searchbar disappeared?

I'm using Classic Compact 3.6.0. The searchbox remained since the day I first installed it.
Unfortunately, I don't remember when did it disappear since I hadn't used the searchbox in a long time. It could have disappeared a week ago or 6 months ago.

I tried it with the Classic Compact theme and couldn't see any problems. It only could be a compatibility problem with one of the other extensions or with the profile itself. Please try it with all extensions disabled except AiOS...

By the way, is there any way to make that search box stretch without breaking?
You'd have to try out one of the dark themes, such as Redshift, to understand what I'm talking about.

Yeah, that's the age old problem that haunts us all. Especially if you like your sidebar to sorta "pop out" when you move your browser over it.
And since it just pops out, I can make it as wide as I want without it getting in the way of my webpage. Of course, since I'm using the Lava Fox theme, the search box breaks on one side. I try not to let it bother me though, since I never use it. In fact, I almost wish that I had that bug that makes it disappear!
