Plans for the future

These are my plans for the future of AiOS. This list will be updated regular.

Feel free to suggest features which you would like to see included in All-in-One Sidebar. Thanks in advance! But please consider that the intention of AiOS is not to add as many new panels as possible. AiOS is an extension, which should improve and enhance the sidebar handling and related build-in features of Firefox. So I will not add e.g. a new sidebar for a list of tabs and things like that. General

• view cookie manager in the sidebar
• show sidebar on top or bottom of the window
• sidebar splitting to open more than one panel at the same time (but in one sidebar)
• show two sidebars at the same time (e.g. one on the left side and one on the right side; not the same as the feature above)
• show the sidebar outside the Firefox window
• show sidebar under the tabbar instead of beside the tabbar
• show the sidebar switch right beside the sidebar
• remember the sidebar width separately for each sidebar panel
• search from searchfield opens in the sidebar
• configure the sidebar grippy behavior and the button behavior of normal toolbar buttons
• ability to make the sidebar wider than the "maximum width" setting

PanelTab

• close the sidebar when using PanelTab
• open better dialogs in a new tab instead of a duplicated sidebar for some extensions (for example open the manage window of Sage instead of the RSS feed list)

Bookmarks & History

• 2-pane bookmarks sidebar
• alphabetical and recursive sorting of bookmarks
• show bookmarks in the sidebar menu, if they should open in the sidebar
• open entries directly in the sidebar

Extensions & Themes & Downloads

• disable extensions install delay
• start a new download with given url but without a link
• drag and drop extensions and themes to the appropriate buttons to install them
• grouped list view (e.g. enabled/disabled, compatible/incompatible)
• better co-operation with MR Tech Local Install

MultiPanel

• add custom and permanent sidebars (and perhaps an URL bar)
• set a homepage for the MultiPanel
• synchronizing scrolling (sidebar and content)
• better context menu
• remember the scroll position
• cursor line across the panel
• open links in the sidebar
• view selected source
